Margin is profit as a percentage of the selling price. Markup is profit as a percentage of the cost. Example: buy at 100 and sell at 150 → markup 50%, margin 33.3%. Formulas: Price = Cost ÷ (1 − Margin%) and Price = Cost × (1 + Markup%). This tool also deducts marketplace fees so the margin you see is your real net margin.
